Test Overview: This test is used for the in vitro qualitative detection of Canine Distemper Virus Antigen (CDV Ag) in canine conjunctival secretions. Clinically, it is primarily used to determine if a dog is infected with the distemper virus.
- Test time: 10 minutes
- Test samples: Canine conjunctival secretions
Detection Principle: This test employs the immunofluorescence sandwich method to qualitatively detect CDV Ag in canine conjunctival secretions. The sample is added to the sample diluent, mixed, and then dropped into the test card well. The CDV Ag in the sample reacts with a fluorescently labeled antibody on the glass fiber, forming a complex. Through chromatography, the complex and unreacted fluorescently labeled antibody diffuse along the nitrocellulose membrane. The complex is then captured by the corresponding antigen fixed on the detection line. The amount of analytes determines the accumulation of fluorescently labeled antibodies on the test line.
